Does anyone else use Twitter for their business?
You may have seen the news at the weekend about the new "rate limit" which limits the number of tweets viewed. And Tweetdeck no longer works properly.
Does feel like the end of an era, and starting to wonder if Twitter will be around for much longer. I have used Twitter a lot for my business (particularly for the software side of things), and I actually discovered ABN on Twitter back in 2012.
I guess it's an example of not throwing eggs in one basket - at least there's still LinkedIn and Facebook!
Are you still using Twitter for your business? Have you been impacted by the Twitter changes? Are there any other social media websites you use?

I am not a twitter fan TBH, but the rate of people leaving the platform and moving over to the new platform Threads due to all of the dsruption with Twitter is scary.
Indeed it is scary! Does feel sometimes like Twitter could completely collapse at any minute.
Hoping a real, non-Meta owned alternative to Twitter is introduced at some point (Threads has potential, however as I commented in another reply, it is putting all the eggs in one Meta basket!)
I only recently started using Twitter and still don't really understand it! It might be easier to change over to Threads (is that the new thing?) and learn what I'm doing at the same time as everyone else!
Not tried Threads yet, as no web version (I refuse to download countless apps on my phone).
With Threads, there is a risk of people putting all their eggs in one (Meta owned) basket, e.g. if something happens to someone's Facebook profile, they'll lose Instagram and Threads too. At least with Twitter (for all it's recent faults) its a seperate company!

Seems like it - although to be fair people have been predicting the demise of Twitter since November last year!
They've restored the old Tweetdeck thankfully, which I find valuable for my business.
And to be fair, we've all survived the demise of MySpace, Bebo and Friends Reunited...
(Just as long as Jack Bauer doesn't rely on Twitter for his world saving!)
Twiiter is something I have never got "on board" with. There is also Tiktok and instagram I use those sites too.
I am working on my first TikTok post, I think this is a far better platform for me / ABN
Did try Instagram some years ago and never really did anything with it. Might be time for me to have another look.
TikTok seems to be popular, although there is the privacy/security concerns that are often reported in the media.
I do believe Meta/Facebook are planning to launch a Twitter style service later this week... may give it a try, although not wanting to put all my eggs in the "Meta" basket!
