My other job title

While my job title may say content specialist when people ask what I do I always say I'm a writer.

I'll be honest it took me a long time to not feel like a fraud whenever I told people I was a writer. I had never had anything published. I'd never been paid for my writing but then I learned you don't need to be paid to be a writer you just need to write.

I'm a writer because that's what I love to do. Truthfully it's the only thing I've ever felt good at, even when I tend to overthink everything I've written.

After years of blogging about fashion, what I was reading or terrible dates I'd been on. I decided to switch from writing about myself to writing fiction and wrote my first book!

The book which is loosely based on my Great Grandparents (pictured) and is set in a village much like New Aberdour is currently in its 4th stage of edits before I start querying to get it published!

When I'm not working or trying to edit my book I also write a weekly Newsletter titled Lessons In... which covers everything from dating, being single and life in your mid-twenties! If you would like to sign up or read some of my old posts you can do here https://lessonsin.substack.com/
