  • Thank you so much for including me, I am surrounded by amazing inspirational women for which I am very grateful

  • Wow definietly an inspiring bunch, a true honner to be mentioned with them. Thank you! :)

  • How lovely. Thank you for including me. Although I don't post much at all and I am not 'loud about things'( I will remember to change that!!) my journey with ABN has been extraordinary.

Being part of Contact builder and attending the '60 second' marketing sessions have added depth, quality and confidence to how I approach my business and myself at a very subtle & powerful level.. I wasn't expecting that!.  I have grown so much. Thank you to everyone.

    • What lovely feedback Nicky, that's great to hear!

And as a fellow quiet person, I understand not being loud about things. I'm working on that too!

  • Lovely idea, thanks for including me in this fantastic group of ABN women, along with you, Leigh and my lovely daughter Natalie.. all 3 of you amazing women without going any further.

I'll highlight my Natalie though, as her tenacity inspires me every day.  At 12 years old she announced she wanted to be a doctor, and she studied her socks off all through school to get the grades she needed, as well as grabbing every opportunity she got to do extra-curricular actiivities to add to that all important personal statement to apply to Uni. She was House Captain, ran Rock Challenge, you name it.. and she went and got straight As at Higher and Advanced Higher.

Then she sent in her application and got not one single offer for medicine!! Understandably devastated, I tried to help her pick up the pieces, & reached out to Unis to find out why - only to be told "well that's how it is, they are all good applicants!" She took a year out, got jobs doing care work and spent 6 weeks volunteering in a hospital overseas, then returned to apply again.

This time she got 1 offer but it was for medical science at Edinburgh - not medicine! She decided to take it.  3 years in she was offered the chance to apply for 1 of only 2 places to transfer to medicine at Edinburgh.. and she got in!! After graduating with med science degree she started in her medical degree.. another 5 years of studying but she was determined to get there!

Fast forward to 2023 and she is now fully qualified, having completed her foundation years, and has just been offered job in her speciality training path.

If you want something - go for it!

    • Wow, what a story Alice! I'm sure your rightfully proud of what your daughter has achieved. It's fantastic to hear she got to where she wanted to be in the end. Well done Natalie!

      • Thanks Jeanette. You can tell by my long winded commment (got carried away yesterday!) that I'm a proud Mum!!

  • Delighted and honoured to be featured among this group of inspirational women.

    • We're lucky to have you as part of ABN Lorraine!
