In or out?

Do you prefer to eat lunch in your office or out of it?

Do you bring food in or buy every day?

Today I sat out in the garden at our new office for the first time and it was...lush!

As well as there being an environmental angle to bringing your lunch to work, or sourcing sustainable, local producers - I believe there's a huge wellbeing angle to getting away from your desk and ideally, into the rare fresh air!

Happy Monday, folks!

  • I don't have an office, since I work from home, although do like to sit down and eat a proper meal at lunchtime. If I'm out, I will have something to eat, and sit down and eat it (rather then eating on the move). :-)
  • I work from home and often just snack at my desk but I have two dogs who sit at my feet all day to remind me to take a break and take them out.
    • Oh, it must be lovely to get out with the pups! I do miss having a dog for that reason to venture out (though prefer it at this time of year!)
  • Take food in every day Adam :) Mostly because I'm a cheapskate though
    • Not at all, Paul! I think that's a really sensible decision! Hope you get to enjoy some fresh air around the James Gregory Centre some days.
      • I like your 'sensible' interpretation Adam :)
  • I work from home so if I'm here I always have a break, change rooms and relax. But if I'm at a clients I just work on.
    • That's really important to think to ensure you do that working from home, Susan. I know I found that the hardest when I was doing it, to seperate one room from another for work and life! Make sure eat something on client days, too - though!
  • It depends on how the day is going, but more so its sitting at my desk :0)
    • I must admit I end up being a desk-eater many days, but I do think it's really important to get up and stretch from time to time! :-)
