Your Top 3 in the North East...

Hi

I was thinking about all the amazing speakers we get to see at all the different events around the North East.

I've been wondering more and more if there are people out there who have not been up on stage as a speaker, but they have really inspired you in some way.

For example:

- they've faced huge adversity

- they work away quietly, getting on with things but you've noticed them

- a person in an office or retail environment that just took that bit of extra time.

Could you name 3 people that you have noticed?

I would like to mention:

- Adele Keith who works at SHMU FM - over the year I've been hosting my show she has always been consistent, helpful and just herself.

- There's this guy (I don't know his name) but he helps the primary kids cross the road in Oldmeldrum, he's really young and just so efficient and not afraid of the cars.

- Jenna Jay Cameron (singer-songwriter) who is fighting a Cancer for the second time. She is 30 today. If you haven't met Jenna then let me tell you she has more energy and positivity than most people you will ever meet. She reminds me daily to get on with it, be open, follow your heart and stay true to who you are.

I'd love to read about your top 3.

  • Aw, what a lovely post! It's really got me thinking about how many people go the extra mile - I'm lucky that I get to cross paths with so many of them in my life actually! Thinking of 3 quickly

My boyfriend! He runs a tree surgery business & often gets older customers. Sometimes they'll get talking about life & how they don't have many people around. He always gives them him personal number to call if they need anything!

My friend down south runs 'she-siders' in her own time. It's a female group meet-up to encourage positivity, support each other, stamp out bitching in her community and meet new friends! Theyve been in the news!

One of the bus drivers on my route is super cheery, even on early mornings or in the rain. He gets out his seat to help the elderly instead of just lowering the bus and is a breath of fresh air on the morning commute!
  • Good one Tess!
