Can you help with a recent (slightly boozy!) holiday argument please - who had 3 more iconic songs, Whitney Houston or Elton John??
I went with Whitney and:
I will always love you
I wanna dance with somebody
and
The greatest love of all
(Bobby Brown might disagree - but that's his prerogative. Sorry!)
Over to you now!

Steward's Inquiry: Strictly speaking, 'I Will Always Love You' is a Dolly song and 'The Greatest Love Of All' was a hit first for George Benson....and because of that, it's gotta be Elt, (even though Bernie writes a lot of the words, Elton always composes the music). :-)
Your Song. Tiny Dancer. Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting.
And he can keep his Oscar winning songs in reserve!
Damn. I wasn't losing too badly until some pesky DJ started getting involved.....
Ha! Sorry! Occupational Hazard.
I'm going with the Whitney lovers!
I Wanna Dance with Somebody, One Moment in Time and Greatest Love, I can belt them all out as long as no-ones listening of course!
Got to say though, is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road not one of Elton's iconic songs, it's one of my favourites!
Team Elton here too!!
Oooo and I'd go with Tiny Dancer, Rocket man and Your Song!
:-D I didn't realise it was an argument! Still going with Elton. And thank you Jeanette Lowe those were the three songs I listed too!
Not a fan of either but I'd go with Elton. Rocketman. I'm still standing and Candle in the Wind.
Going for Elton John here
- I'm still standing
- Dont go breaking my heart
- Rocket man
(might have went with Candle in the wind, or Circle of life for 'iconic' given the princess Di and Disney links respectively - but never liked either song)
I would go with Reginald Kenneth Dwight.....
Top three
Rocket Man, Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting & Candle in the wind
