It’s perhaps not surprising that many female employees don’t wanted to cite PMS or period pains as a reason for absence – but some of the ‘reasons behind the reason’ are! Over a quarter of the women surveyed were concerned that period pains or PMS symptoms would not be considered a legitimate illness or a good enough reason to miss work.
