The recent ruling that ‘ethical veganism’ is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 will no doubt, cause ripples within many workplaces. It’s possible there will be an appeal but for now, how can employers ensure they abide by this ruling – and what is ‘ethical veganism’ versus any other kind?

  •  Hi Nicky! As vegan myself, I don't believe that this would cause any problems or noticable change - aslong as everyone simply respects each other.

    • I totally agree Jessie that there shouldn't be any issues with this as long as everyone respects each other and their views, however this doesn't always happen in the workplace! Could ethical veganism be the cause of conflict in the workplace? What do the meat eaters among us think?
