Hi everyone,

I am posting on behalf of MCR Pathways, a Scottish charity I work with that matches young people with a volunteer mentor. We believe young people’s backgrounds or circumstances should not determine their future. MCR currently works with 10 schools in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire and are looking for mentors that will help young people in these schools.

Aberdeen City : Dyce, Harlaw, Hazlehead, Lochside, Northfield, St Machar

Aberdeenshire: Banff, Fraserburgh,  Peterhead,  The Gordons School, Huntly.

Individuals from all walks of like can #BeTheBridge between a young person’s talent and reaching their potential. Research by ScotCen shows the incredible benefits mentoring has where 81.6% of mentored care-experienced pupils left school for college, university or a job, compared with 56.3% of those not mentored.

Volunteers meet with their young person for just one hour a week in school and the difference it makes is profound for their confidence and motivation. No qualifications are needed, just the desire to make a difference.

We would love to work with you to help even more young people in Aberdeen and Shire reach their potential, no matter their circumstances.

If you think you, someone, you know, or even your organisation would be interested  please just get in touch.  In the meantime, would it be possible for you to share our campaign or our social media posts @MCRPathways?
