Today marks day 1 of 12 of our 12 Days 12 Futures campaign where we aim to find sponsors for 12 children. Back in 2015 I felt (and still do) that it is a bit of an ambitious goal but each year amazing people surprise us and to date we have managed to create 60 bright futures. I'd be so grateful if people can share the posts on social media so that we can change 12 more lives.
At the age of 7 I was in Primary 4 but June (7 years old) has not yet been able to start school. Her dad sadly passed away, leaving her mum looking after 5 children. They live in a small house made from mud, struggle to afford food and share one bed between them. Due to the small income June’s mum receives it is impossible for her to afford schools fees for all of the children at the same time.
For £35 per month we can ensure that June starts and completes her education. You will be in regular letter writing contact with her, receive an end of year school performance update from ourselves and a Christmas card from June. We would also make sure that you meet each other should you come on one of our two trips to Kenya each year.
