Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a model that helps a company or organisation be socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public. By practicing corporate social responsibility, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society, including economic, social, and environmental.

Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) are a set of standards for a company’s operations that socially conscious investors use to screen potential investments.

But are ESG and CSR the same thing, just in a different guise.

Hear from our speakers at this workshop where we bring together private and third sector organisations to discuss why ESG and CSR matter to business and how both sectors can work together in their value and vision to create a win for all.

In the second part of the half day workshop, we'll discuss the importance of social impact in both sectors, from evaluating how orgnaisations conduct their operations to managing diversity and inclusion.  In groups we'll discuss sustainable development and goals and how North-east Scotland organisations can lead the way in peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future.
