New phrases such as ‘productive doubt’ are surfacing throughout the world, which come with negative connotations.  When did you last hear ‘I don’t know’ or ‘I’m not sure’ and what response did you give?

We seek certainty, guidance and direction and often perceive doubt as destructive but it can be productive and powerful.

Chris Matchan and Dr Trevor Morrow return to this annual leadership business breakfast to provide two sessions. The first will be an overview of some of the theories and ideas that are in the literature that help us to make sense of uncertainty.  This will include understanding wicked problems and the idea of productive doubt, the measurement problem, competing commitments, values and victim behaviour.

The second will be interactive with delegates working on specific 'uncertainty' problems like hybrid working or carbon neutral, using ideas from the first session.

Come ready to join in.

Translating thinking into action
