What exactly do you DO, John?

I get asked this A LOT.

It's not easy, because at last count I was radio presenting for 3 companies, podcasting, recording voiceovers, stadium announcing, writing a book and launching an online course.

In the end, to keep me on track as much as anything else, I stuck it all on a website, which you can see here if you're at all interested!

Right now, my voiceover side of things is especially busy. That can mean recording a script for literally anything. From TV to on-hold telephone audio. Corporate video to awards ceremonies. You can listen to some of my voice work here or watch one of the commercials I've made for STV.

This leads me on to two things. 1) If you like the sound of my voice, and you'd like me to record something for you, feel free to contact me through my profile here. 2) When you do quite a few things as part of your offering, how do you go about explaining it - do you concentrate on one aspect, or find a way to simplify? Really interested to hear your thoughts on this.

  • A man of many talents John!

    • Nope. All it means is I can read aloud! True story :-D

  • Good post John - and I like the cows!

Got a question for you - which part of your work do you enjoy the most?

    • That IS a good question. I love all of it. I can't really measure being a stadium announcer for the Dons against Voiceovers - and again I don't really count the Dons as work, more as a passion project. So if you dispense with that, I'd have to say presenting whether that's for podcasts or on radio.
