Some things I learned last weekend after spending the weekend in the mountains hiking 15 munros. 🏔⬇️
💚 The human body is amazing and capable of hard things, learn to quiet that voice in your head that tells you that you can’t do things. I lost count of the times I had to have a stern word with myself when I wanted to give up.
💚 The world would be a better place if we were all kinder to each other. I have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from people I know and even strangers while doing this challenge.
💚 You only get one body so take care of it. On Munro 9 I got chatting to an 81 year old man who was climbing 3 munros that weekend! His advice was to not stop moving your body and keep your mind active. I hope I’m still bouncing up mountains at his age, truly inspirational. 🙌🏻

You did 15 Munros in a weekend Siobhan?? Well done!!
You are amazing, Siobhan!
The older gentleman you met on Munro number 9 - was he climbing all the Munro's raising funds in memory of his late wife? If so, then I met him on Ben Nevis in November 2020. What a man! Truly inspirational.
Oh thank you so much Iska, oh Im not sure. He had done one of the harder climbs which involved rock climbing and had to go with a guide. The guide told him that he was the oldest person to climb that munro which is just amazing!
Well done and great advice.
They say you get old because you stop doing things, not the other way round.
Exactly! Use it or lose it!
Well done Siobhan!
Seen the updates online over the weekend, looked great
Thanks Jessie! Hanging up the hiking boots for at least a couple of weeks!
Slightly different view this time, SJ. Still good tho! Well done again to you both (plus the dug!). Absolute Legends for completing the challenge
