The Mindfulness Based Living Course, has been specificaly designed and adapted from the first mindfulness based intervention's adapted by western physcologists. Lots of researchers in the fields of neuroscience, psychology and philosophy are building research on the lived experience of mindfulness based interventions and what benefits they can bring.  This course allows participants to work through techniques and attitudes to mindfulness practice with a gradual build on both formal and infomal practices which can be used in every day settings.

You may be wondering what Mindfulness training is, as it's a word we hear more and more, you can have a look at my website st-arthealing.com for some blogs and more information, but for now it's probably best to describe how this course might help. This course is specially suited for anyone who constantly remunates about past events, or constantly tries to plan future events that we have no control over and cannot be changed.  The course helps us to recognise when we are doing that and bring our attention back to the present moment.  It's not easy though and this type of mindfulness course asks for a committment from the particpant, it's like if you were to decide to run a marathon - you need to train and it's the same with the mind.  If we want to be aware of our thoughts and how they affect our moment by moment living we have to be prepared to commit to training.
