Head shot or Nah???

Hello Guys.

So just a quick one for us to discuss.

For profile pics on platforms like ABN or LinkenIn etc, do we actually need a Head shot or nah?

ive seen people use funny or relaxed ones as well as proper professional head shots so just want to know what you guys think is best and why?

does this help you decide whether to engage or not or......?

I would love to read your comments and reasons on this.

Hi Ola,

Definitely a photo of yourself!

If people 'buy' from people you need to show up as your authentic self!

Head shots everyday Ola. I'm old school and prefer to see who I can be communicating with even if its a simple photo. Not a fan on professional business networking sites seeing extreme casual photos and at the other end some headshots go super corporate when you actually might not be that in your business.

For me, go with a headshot to that represents you and your approach to business.

What about other angle? I'm using my profi photo (which is actually very old), because I'm trying to avoid being on photos completely. So I don't have any relaxed one 😀

I agree with Siobhan on the semi-professional point! And I also think it's important that the photo is only of you. Not a group picture or couple as I sometimes see, as it's confusing, cool for FB but not business sites in my opinion :)

I think there is nothing wrong with a more relaxed one. As long as it still looks semi proffesional (basically dont pick a photo from a night out half cut 😂) and make sure people can tell that the picture is you.

  Hahahah you are absolutely right. "night out" that made me chuckle. i think im also for the semi formal type pics. even if its a head shot but not necessarily wearing like a suit or something.

Whatever you are happy with! As long as people know it's you, go for it. You want people to recognise you in person after seeing your profile pic
