  • I hadn't actually heard of virtual summits before this video! Would this also be classed as when podcasts film the interview? Thank you for sharing! Feel free to add to the video section too as I can feature it.

    • Hi Jessi - A virtual summit is very much like a conference online.  Unlike during COVID when traditional conferences had to find ways of coping and go online, virtual summits were there before and will be there after COVID.  There are normally recorded guest experts themed on different days with live panels in the evenings for Q&A.  They are a lot of fun.

They actually allow me to speak all over the world, most weeks, without leaving my house.

A podcast is a much simpler thing.  It's a recording which is played only to that podcast hosts audience.  It's great and my podcast, as well as being on others, has changed my life - but mainly through the relationships I've cultivated through it.

Podcast video recordings are really only good for promotion.  Nobody has the patience to watch a 40 minute interview.  But they WILL listen to it.  I've spoken to some of the biggest podcasters in the world and asked about video versions of their show and they all said it's a waste of time and effort.  Podcasts are an audio platform - but the video is handy to promote it.

      • I see, I wasn't sure if they would go under the same umbrella but that clarifies the difference now. I listen to a lot of podcasts but like you say, i've never watched them and assumed they just filmed them for the chance of growing an audience. Filming for promo makes sense. Glad to hear that you're doing well in the world of virtual summits! When/what is your next one?

      • And is it just me or is the text too light to easily read on the NING site?  I can barely read it.

        • I can see it well! Anyone else having troubles?
