Hi Aberdeen Business Network

The event that I am organising for businesses in Aberdeen(shire) was featured today - thank you admins! Today I am sharing a few examples of what I mean with 'creative cross-sector partnerships'.

Essentially - this means sponsorship - two organisations from different sectors (usually commercial and non-commercial) working together. But we don't really use the word 'sponsorship' anymore, as unfortunely it is often confused with philantropy, or a donation. BUT this couldn't be further from the truth!

These partnerships are mutually beneficial, transactional and deliver on a need that you might have as a business, which could be marketing, staff engagement, community relations, and much more. Arts & Business Scotland (an independent Scottish charity supported by the Scottish Government and Creative Scotland, and others) is able to match-fund projects where the culture sector and the business sector collaborate.

We have recently created a document showing 18 of these partnerships, which show that creative partnerships can offer solutions for all kind of businesses and budgets.

If you're interested in learning more - please sign up to our event on 21 September. It's free, takes an hour, and you will be inspired by some of the amazing partnerships we have been able to support. You'll come away with a better understanding of what a creative partnership with the creative / cultural sector can offer you.

Also happy to take any questions here or on my email!
