On Monday I made my first charity shop purchase for almost 18 months - found some computer games in the Cancer Research charity shop on Union Street - only ended up being a total of £1 for all five!
I use to like browsing charity shops all the time - however something difficult to do since the pandemic.
Do you have any favourite charity shops in Aberdeen?
Any favourite charity shop purchases - either recently or in the past?

I used to love a good rummage around in the charity shops. I am trying my best to reuse rather than buying new where possible. I've bought quite a few things for the house since we moved, but my best find, and one I use all the time (hic!) is a pair of gin goblets. Everyone comments on them and they were probably a couple of quid at most :-)
I use to enjoy browsing and looking through charity shops - although one of my first visits to a charity shop since virus, as always worry about browsing, etc.
Gin goblets sound interesting!
5 for a quid? Good work Simon!
Thank you! Indeed was quite a find - especially as had been looking for one of them for a while! Took a few to checkout and was told it was 5 for £1 so had to pick a few more to make up five! :-)
What a bargain!
I have to say that I am guilty of not using them, I should make more of an effort to as everyone seems to get such good deals!
I've found many good bargains in charity shops over the years - DVDs, soft toys, even business books (definitely recommend checking out the VSA bookshop at Castlegate - and looking in all book sections - once found a business book in the "Comedy" section because staff didn't realise it was a business book due to cover and title)!
