Who else is loving being able to get out for some lovely meals again? 🍽

You may eat whatever you fancy or you may want to make choices that help support your goals. Both of these options are totally ok. Don’t be pressured into thinking otherwise, we all have different goals and it’s important to be respectful of that. 💚

Here are some tips to navigating the dining out experience if you want to stick to a calorie deficit: ⬇️

💚 Skip the starter, chances are you don’t need it.

💚 Try to ensure you have a portion of veg/salad with your meal, if you can order the dressing on the side. 🥗🥦🥕

💚 Swap out fries for some veggies or salad.

💚 Choose a protein that has been grilled rather than fried or sautéed 🍗🥩

💚 Don’t leave the best to last, we are more likely to over eat when we do this.

💚 Put your fork and knife down between mouthfuls, finish what you are already eating before having the next forkful. Restaurant portions tend to be bigger, by practicing mindful eating we are less likely to eat past the stage of fullness.

💚 Pass on having an alcoholic drink and opt for a water or diet soda instead.

💚 Skip dessert or go halves with someone.

💚 Most importantly enjoy the food, after the year we have all had its great to get out again socialize.
