New series of Great British Bake Off starts tomorrow (Tuesday 21st)!

Baking update - made lemon cake yesterday!
Adapted the recipe to use aquafaba so it's vegan friendly...

Hi Simon - we're avid Bake Off viewers. It's actually rare when you have a 12 and 15 year old to find a show you can all watch quite happily together, but sweet food seems to be the magic connecting solution! I think the Beeb were quite obviously looking for the best amateur bakers, Channel 4 is searching more for memorable characters, so they resonate with viewers from the off. One complaint with Channel 4, is that there's way more chance with commercial breaks you'll get up and go and raid the kitchen for something sweet to eat!
I'm still getting use to Bake Off with ad breaks (although still to watch yesterday's episode) 😀

Missed most of last year's Bake Off so may try and watch more of this series - wonder if watching Bake Off counts as research for my recipe software?! :-)
I would say that it does 100%! I will be catching up with it on Sunday!
