Are you getting enough sunshine?

Are you getting enough sunshine?

Sunlight on your skin causes your body to produce vitamin D, essential for general health. It also does wonders for your mental health, releasing serotonin and endorphins. This is a super little article and podcast by health guru, Dr Michael Mosley, from his excellent series “Just One Thing”.

No wonder being outside on a lovely day makes me feel so great!

  • Vitamin D is one of the few supplements that I recommend, especially between October to March in the UK. I used to suffer with SAD until I started supplementing VD.

    • Thanks for sharing Siobhan Jaffray as I know some people who don't believe SAD is a 'real' disorder as they think everyone gets a bit down over the winter months, which just isn't the case. It's great to know that vitamin D helps combat this 😀

      • I know for a fact that it is and know others who suffer too.

  • I'm going to take vitD supplements this year for sure!

    • That's a great idea Jessie Crawley it's always good to take every precaution! I'm hoping that being outside walking my dog Belle twice a day will help my vitamin D levels! 🐕🌞
